Board & Governance
1. Board & Governance
The Saudi Business Council (SBC) is governed by Board of Directors in accordance with its statutes as a non-profit association registered in Spain. The Board is responsible for the strategic direction, oversight and good governance of the Council.
SBC is an independent, private-sector-driven body. It does not represent the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and does not issue licenses, approvals or financial products. All sovereign and regulatory decisions remain with the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
SBC may be advised by an International Advisory Board, composed of individuals of recognised standing from the business, academic and diplomatic communities in Spain, Saudi Arabia and other regions.
The International Advisory Board is a non-binding, consultative body. Its role is to:
• Provide strategic insight on the development of SBC's Council of 5 alliances,
• Act as goodwill ambassadors for SBC's mission to support Saudi businesses and Vision 2030 abroad,
• Help identify opportunities for responsible, long-term cooperation between Saudi and international partners.
Members of the International Advisory Board are appointed and removed by the Board of Directors and serve without remuneration.
